The present subjunctive to express a wish or a necessity
- Objective
- Give someone advice about an everyday situation, using the present subjunctive after expressions of wish and necessity.
- Prerequisites
- For a solid A2 or an early B1: the present tense of regular verbs well in place, and the imperfect already seen. No prior knowledge of the subjunctive is needed.
- Materials needed
- The learner sheet, printed or sent ahead if the lesson is online, and a way to play sound and picture: a speaker and a screen, or screen sharing with sound on. The subtitles are burned into the film.
